Myofascial Care and Yoga

New Date TBD

Course Summary

Transform the way you teach—and the way your students experience yoga—with the powerful tools of myofascial self-release. Designed specifically for yoga teachers, this 20-hour Yoga Alliance Continuing Education qualified course will give you practical, accessible techniques to bring immediate value to your classes. The course also counts as one module of Midwest Yoga Academy’s 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.

You’ll explore the essential role of fascia and its connections to the nervous, lymphatic, and digestive systems, learning how specific poses affect specific organs. With a blend of anatomy study, self-release techniques and practical applications, you’ll gain knowledge of how tension is held and released in the body. Through self-release practices and thoughtful integration into yoga asana, you’ll learn how to incorporate myofascial self-release into your class, help your students move more freely, recover more effectively, and connect more deeply to their bodies.

By the end of this training, you’ll walk away with a toolbox of techniques to:
•Skillfully incorporate myofascial self-release into group classes, privates, or workshops
•Support students dealing with tension, stress, or limited mobility
•Offer more therapeutic, personalized, and effective instruction
•Enrich your sequencing with fascia-aware movement principles

This course is ideal for teachers who want to expand their impact, grow their confidence in anatomy-based teaching, and offer classes that truly support healing and transformation.
